Welcome to Our News & Updates Section

Board statements, news, updates and other information – including posts that highlight some of the key activities of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) and the Vancouver Police Board (Board) – are posted here regularly.

Our goal is to help educate, engage and inform the people of Vancouver regarding our role as a Board, the work being done by the VPD, awards given to VPD officers and civilian staff, and as importantly, to be open and transparent about both challenges and achievements.

You can see the categories of the information in this section on the right-hand side of this page. Please come back often to learn more about the Board; our role as the governing body of the VPD; and to get relevant, up-to-date information about activities, community outreach and other aspects of policing in Vancouver.
