VPD Strategic Plan

Police boards are responsible for working with the chief constable to develop strategy, which provides the direction and scope of the police organization over the long term. This requirement is fulfilled through the development, approval and monitoring of the department’s strategic plan.

The Vancouver Police Department’s (VPD) Strategic Plan defines the department’s priorities and direction and allows the leadership team to strengthen operations, build morale, and focus energy and resources in identified areas. All of this is done to ensure that members, civilian employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals.
