Directors of the Vancouver Police Board (the Board) are volunteers who serve the people of Vancouver by providing oversight and direction to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). They are paid a stipend, called a per diem, to cover incidental expenses incurred while performing their Board duties.

The Board’s per diem policy and rates are reviewed at least every five years by the Board’s HR Committee.
